Effective March 1, 2010 the Grant County Area Plan Department will be open Monday thru Friday, from 8 AM – 12 noon; closed from 12 PM to 1 PM for lunch, and reopen from 1 PM – 4 PM.. Applications and petitions will be accepted 8:00 AM-3:30 PM. Plan staff will stop issuing permits at 3:30 PM so that citizens in the lobby might be processed by the end of the day, and daily revenue closed out. After 3:30 PM, paper permit application will be available for next day processing. When possible, permits not requiring a site plan/floor plan review will receive same day service. All others will take 3-5 days to allow for plan review and site plan compliance inspections.  Any citizen remaining at the 4pm office closing will be escorted out of the building. The Area Plan Department will accommodate those hindered by this change and treat [by-appointment-only] requests as a priority.
