The Convention and Visitors Bureau has produced two new brochures for the holiday season. “Light Up Your Holidays” is geared to tour planners and features holiday season activities of interest to tour groups. Activities listed in the brochure include the Christmas City Walkway of Lights, a tour of General Plastics, Corp., Marion Civic Theatre’s productions of “A Christmas Carol” and “Fashion Through the Ages,” lunch at the Wilson Vaughan Historic Hostess House, and the “Season of Light” planetarium show. Special group rates for accommodations at seven Grant County hotels and motels are also included. “Light Up Your Holidays” will be mailed to more than 300 tour planners in Indiana and surrounding states.
“Hot Deals on Cool Getaways” has been produced for the leisure market and will be used to fulfilled requests generated by advertising in AAA Home and Away, AAA Midwest Traveler, and Midwest Living magazines. “Hot Deals on Cool Getaways” includes information on the Christmas City Walkway of Lights, Marion Civic Theatre productions, the Hostess House’s “Holiday Magic,” the “Season of Light” planetarium show, and North Park Mall’s Ultimate Shopping Card promotion. Three Grant County bed and breakfasts and four Grant County hotels/motels are offering special lodging packages in the brochure.
