Septic Installer Information

• The Grant County Health Department issues permits and does onsite inspections for septic systems. Repairs, replacements and new construction all require a permit.
• The health department maintains a current list of certified installers who are registered within the county. A list is viewable at the bottom of this webpage.
• Homeowners should be aware that in order to do septic system work in Grant County, an installer MUST be on our list.
• Installers must pass a certifying exam, provide proof of liability insurance and bonding, and pay a county license fee before they can do septic system work of any kind.
