On March 19th, Governor Holcomb enacted Executive Order 20-05 waiver of penalties for 60 days after the May 11th, 2020 deadline due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The deadline to pay before penalties are applied is July 10th, 2020. This information can also be found at in.gov.By order of the Board of Commissioners, the County Annex building will be officially open to the general public on June 15th, 2020 with specific criteria that must be met before entry in to the building.
-All patrons are to follow the 6ft social distancing guidelines and are strongly encouraged to wear face masks while conducting business at the County Annex building.
TAX SALE - REAL ESTATE TAX SALES- ***Tax payments were mailed April 13th, 2020. If you do not receive a tax statement by May 1st, you can check the website at www.grantcounty.net and following the directions to the Treasurers page to look up your information. In order to pay your property taxes, you have the following options while we be out of the office:
On or before July 1 of each year, the county treasurer shall certify to the county auditor, a list of real property on which either any property taxes or special assessments certified to the county auditor for collection by the county treasurer from the prior year's spring installment or before are delinquent as determined under IC 6-1.1-37-10 or any unpaid costs from a prior tax sale. The county auditor shall maintain a lists of eligible properties. The sale must take place on or after August 1 and before November 1 or each year.
